[D/FW] Solo2 autox driving school April 23 2005

$50 gets you instruction from some of the best drivers in the region as well as entry into the event on Sunday. Perfect for any novices wanting to get started or anyone who just isn't going as fast as they want to. The event will be held at Pennington Field in Bedford. Go to http://autocross.com/texasregion and click on "April 23, 2005 Solo2 Driving School Pennington Field Event Details Here" in the upper right corner.

I did it years ago and it helps a lot; can't beat it for $50. Class size is limited to 60 people so enroll soon!

Who's instructing it? 'Cuz I don't want to get there and find out Mr Carter is the "expert" instructor.

Alright, I'm in... I could use the extra seat time...

They must be hard up for talent because I've been asked to help instruct Get signed up and I guarantee you'll learn something from these guys. Best of all there is an autox the very next day on the same site so you can put your new skills to work right away.

You can now register online for the school here; the class is about half full right now. Get signed up and for $50 you get school on Saturday and free entry to the event on Sunday!

you're instructing? Well hell.. I'm out!

Probably because the throngs of miata guys that usually run are all heading out to a FOCUS day at the ranch..

I'm in.. convinced a coworker of mine with a 350Z to come too, so he's signed up..

Who all else is instructing?

I know who the usual suspects were in years' past but I won't know personally about this year until early next week so I won't mention them. I do know Neal Bellamy is giving the classroom discussion and I assume Matt Lucas is instructing since he asked me to help. I'm certain the people instructing will be more than able to help everyone improve.

I would expect there to be about a dozen instructors since at minimum the class is divided into rwd vs fwd. If there's enough people I would expect there will be a third for awd.

Well that would be dumb, seeing as the School includes entry into Sunday's event, not vice versa.

Yeah, something about the school entries went wacko on dlbracing.com but it's straight on our end. As of last night there are 40 people registered which leaves about 20 spots open. There are 12 confirmed instructors so it will probably be 4-5 students per instructor.

Everything will be cool as long as they don't ask me to help any FWD guys. "Dude, I don't know what you're doing wrong but your car is fu*ked!!!"
