[Austin] Informal Saturday night meet 6:30pm to ?
Anyone want to hook up this weekend and hang out and geek out on /show off cars? I'm trying to get some folks together for another showing out at the Home Depot on Parmer Lane/1431 at 6-6:30pm until whenever. I've also got a good friend of mine with a C5 vette with vertical doors who wants to check out the show and maybe go on one of our car club runs at some point so I thought maybe we could all get together again and hang out etc. If anyone would like to hook up just let me know, if you need directions, details, etc. The only negative part of this deal is being out in the heat, but since it's in the evening it's not that big of a problem and it's a lot of fun checking out all the other cars. Last time we went a Yellow R1 FD parked next to me, I never could find the owner but it still made an awesome sight seeing 2 yellows parked next to each other etc. contact me for details and I hope to see some local Austin/whatever Rx owners out there!
p.s. Non Rxs are welcome too!

If I'm back from Fredericksburg I'll come in the Patriotic 3-colored Miata. I'm staying up North over the weekend so it won't be as much of a haul as usual.

So I may show up. Need to find out what time my friends' band starts playing before I'm sure, though. I think it's a late gig, but I'm not sure.
Is this place easy to find? What's the best way to get there from the Northwest Hills area?

here's my plan for Saturday:
for the folks South (and so far there is only one) I'll be at the Whataburger on Slaughter about a block away from Brodie lane at around 4:45 or so, leaving at 5 to head north (slaughter to Mopac, mopac to Parmer, left on Parmer all the way to 1431
for the folks north there is a Chevron/Exxon station at the corner of Parmer/620. If I have anyone following me from south I will lead us there, we'll stop a while wait for about 15 minutes and then bail on down Parmer to 1431 etc.
For folks who just want to meet out there, my plan is to be there by 6:00pm, parked about 3-4 rows from the Whataburger to the left of the Home Depot, I'll be easy to spot as my car is BRIGHT yellow and I'll probably be taking some time to clean it up etc. tomorrow.
This is the address:
"Cedar Park" #6585
2700 Whitestone Blvd
Cedar Park, TX 78613
(512)528-9053
Here is a map
It's pretty much a straight shot from Parmer, it is inbetween Parmer and 183.

I passed out on the couch and didn't wake up until 9. *DOH*. Next 3 weekends I'm out of town, so it'll be a while before I can make it... hopefully I'll come out after that with a "restored" FB.

The Windsor exits each way see more than their fair share of asshattery. If I had a nickel for every time I almost got in a head-on on those ramps I'd have moved to Westlake instead of Del Valle.
The southbound exit rarely had undamaged guardrails when I lived over there. If they were damaged and a big rain storm was forecasted, they wouldn't come fix them until a week after the rain storm because they were guranteed to get torn to hell in the storm. The southbound ramp got really really slick when it was wet, too.
