My apex seals happily chewed up my exhaust turbine on the last motor nuke and I am faced with rebuilding the turbo. I was wondering if the GT35/40 cartridge could directly replace the T04S cartridge? It looks like it would.

Does anyone know? I would like to scrap the T04S and replace it with the GT35/40, but retain the rest of the kit since my wastegate is plumbed into the exhaust, exhaust housing and manifold are coated....

 

the turbine side of the GT3540 is a T3 flange. your to4 has a To4 flange. to run the gt3540 on your to4s manifold, you would need an adapter plate and a new downpipe.

 

Thanx for the info, just curious. I guess it's rebuild the T04S and sell the kit if I want the GT35/40.
