KS Xcessive LIM and 500r

I am looking for answers to three questions.

1) Besides the Xcessive LIM, is there another LIM that solves the uneven flow to the rotors issue.

2) If so, what is it and will it work with an A-Spec long runner 500r

3) If there is not, will the Xcessive LIM work with the A-Spec 500r.

Before someone tells me to contact A-Spec, I have been trying for a week. They must be too busy to read emails right now. Either that or I did something to really **** off Sean.

If anyone one knows I would really appreciate an answer. I need to order some parts.

Sean, on the chance you see this, please let me know how much to send for up front money on my 500r. I would really like to get started with you on this. Thanks.

I have a long runner 500r and Xcessive intake manifold... it works fine together, plenty of clearance. I don't think there is another aftermarket LIM, unless you make your own.

As far as getting a hold of A-spec, your experience is pretty much the same experience I've had in the past with phone calls or emails. I think your best bet is emailing Ryan, he's the guy I always talk to. Good guys, just really busy I guess.

Thank you for the information. This means I can order the LIM!!! Are you using the secondary rail on the xcessive LIM on your setup? It would be great to hear from someone with first hand experience about how the Xcessive LIM performs using the rail on the intake. I know I could go with an aftermarket rail using the block ports but because of the E85, I'm thinking I might need to run six injectors. I don't know yet if the PFC will even manage six injectors? So much to learn, so little time. Thanks again, must go shopping now, feels like Christmas all over again!

When I spoke to Sean about a 500r long runner set up the only concern was IC> I have the Xcessive LIM and was looking for a long runner mani. I was told LArge stock mount might be a problem, as well as vmount might be a problem. The issue was for the air filter on the turbo. Could be to tight to get a good sized filter on there. Goodfella runs a front mount with no problems.

The GZ LIM is a much better choice then messing with the stock one, better to toss it in my opinion

It works fine with the 500R long runner mani, just have to alter the stock oil filler neck a bit.

Thanks for the posts guys. I am ordering the LIM and fuel rail today.

Sean already told me my M2 med SMIC was not going to work. I sold it last week and purchased a Greddy FMIC from Fritz. Looks like I might have to pay for a lack of due diligence on the front mount. One of those deals where I wasn't planning on making a change and jumped on the Greddy because I figured it would be gone if I didn't. Since I bought it I have read a lot of posts about running hot with the Greddy FM. My engine is out of my car for a rebuild right now and I was planning on tackling the install on the Greddy today. After reading all the negative posts about the Greddy FM and about what a PIA it is to install, I'm wondering if I should take my medicine and look for something else. The last thing I need is to spend big bucks on this car and lose it over an intercooler that causes it to over heat.

Daily driving in central Kansas’s summers in stop and go traffic, I don't want to have to worry about it. Thanks again. I will check out the oil filler. RD

RD, i'd look into the Blitz FMIC. Install is a breeze (you dont even have to remove the front bumper!) and it sits further back so doesnt block as much incoming air. I've been very happy with mine, havent regretted the change once!

Yep, that what I'm reading in most of the posts. What I will regret is the $675 I just spent on the Greddy. Take Care

I've used the same FMIC for a while now and never had issues.

Are you running an air conditioner with yours? Also, did you do your install? I could really use a step-by-step "how to" for the Greddy FMIC with pictures and I can't find anything. The flathead post everyone points to is no longer valid. It is now a site for bikini's and women’s mud wresting gear. If there is one out there I need it! I down loaded the PDF instructions from Greddy, but they are worthless. Thanks RD

I use a FJO Injector Driver to run my 4 1000cc secondaries. Takes the PFC secondary injector inputs and runs the new secondaries the correct way.
