Why can't they rebuild the GT35/40?

They are savable depending on the situation, very rarely do you need to replace the center section of the turbo, I can tell you of all the 35R's I've sold only one needed the whole center cartridge replaced, most are repairable, for far less than the thousands everyone warns you about. If you ever have a problem let me know, I can usually get the thing back to you within a week or so turn around.

Not trying to steal the thread, but I was looking at the Rx6 and the GT35R as possible turbos. And I was leaning on the Rx6 because it spools slightly faster and I can keep the airpump. I street the car mainly and the emmisions are going up here this next year; so wide power band and a cat are nesassary. Can I get a ex-manifold that allows me to retain the airpump? And for street use I wasn't going to go above 12-15 psi, so how well is the spool time? I know search, but the main Q is about the airpump.
