Question who has SS exhaust port flanges?

I'm going to start building my exhaust manifold soon and need a exhaust port flange, my friend is getting some made at a local water jet shop but the guy at the shop is lagging so i just wanted to know if anyone has any already made. if i cant find one im going to attempt to cut one with my band-saw.

a thicker flange is harder to warp than a thinner one.

i just printed out the actual size template of the flange i designed on the comp and fits perfect so im going to e-mail the file to the water jet place today, ill post pics when i receive the flange.

^^^ True... but it is also heavier and will also expand more when at operating temp as well.

Talking to a local builder of manifolds he does not use SS as he has had manifold studs pull out. He uses mild steel flanges to SS tube.

If you use a crushable manifold gasket and DONT over torque it, you wont have to worry about expansion yanking studs out. Personally, I make my own gaskets from anealed copper.
