What's the most power you've seen with a HKS T51R KAI/SPL?
I'm not talking about heard of......... I know about the oldie scoot car.
What's the max power you guys have seen a HKS T51R KAI and SPL put down.
Dyno graphs would be great.
I'm upgrading my KAI (70mm comp wheel) to a SPL (76.5mm comp wheel).
I just need to know if I'll have enough turbo for when Steve Kan comes back this winter to tune my car.

the HKS T51R KAI usually averages 800 or so on piston motors (mostly supras from what i have seen). i wouldn't expect more than 600 - 650 on a rotary.

I've had both turbos, the KAI and the SPL. Both turbos have the newer GT series Garrett compressor wheels. I didn't make anymore power when I switched to the SPL. The SPL did have a little bit more lag though. The turbo you already have is capable of make 650rwhp. The power restriction wasn't the compressor side of the turbo for me. I'll see if I can find some old dyno charts of my car to post.

So you made 650rwhp on turbo only with the kai?

Here is one of Ray's Old dyno Charts this was back in 2002 and it is one his lower HP charts, notice the torque at 565 ft lbs. Obviously, his time is the one on the left. Full street car, ac/ps,stock transmission, full interior, and stock rear end, axles and Kaaz LSD w/4.33 gears...
