What's the most conservative single-turbo kit?

Something around 300whp or so.. basically something that lets you ditch the rat's nest of vac lines and make decent power

Is it possible to squeeze 300 rwhp out of a TRUST/MHI TD-06 turbocharger, or even a TD-05/06?

GT28RS would fit the bill, should be able to make 300rwhp around 14-15psi. A bit less power than the twins but great spool up and simplicity.

Why not stick with the stock twins? I hear you can max them out at 360 rwhp. With that said, 300 rwhp with the stock twins should be pretty easy.

The best bet would be the RX-6 by Apexi. It will retain your air pump for emissions and is good for around 350-380 hp. You will find later you will want more power without spending more money on another turbo. So if 300 is your goal the RX6 fits the bill. If you dont care about emissions the GT35R is a good choice also. For very quick spool and around 300+ HP I reccomend the .82 Exhaust wheel. If you want 400HP and still decent spool you can go ahead with the larger 1.06 hot side an see 400 HP The Apexi is best for emissions. The Garret GT35R makes a bit more power. Both nice turbos.

I have the HKS t04e kit. Like the Apexi RX6, it keeps the airpump and you can pass emissions with the kit. I just passed Texas emissions without having to use alcohol or really lean everything out on my fuel map. I have about 300 whp at 12 psi, and I can't tell the difference between the twins and this setup as far as lag. I have 12 psi by 2700 rpm and run this setup at 15 psi on pump gas although I don't have a dyno figure for the 15 psi setting. The XS kit won't let you keep the pump, as they use a different manifold.

for the amount of power you want to make i would stick with teh stockers, you dont get the lag and for the amount of money it costs to upgrade im sure a rotary shop could get whatever bug you seem to be having out.
