What turbo are you running on your bridgeport?

unless you like the aggressiveness of the sound, most customers i have with bridges that is all they want it for and i doubt this is any different.
people who want bridgeports usually know already that they get horrible gas mileage and stutter and skip at lower RPMs like driving a bucking bronco and can get you the wrong attention from the police.
but really, when showing up to a car meet and everyone looks... that is why people who want bridgeports get bridgeports. i've had more people ask about these cars due to bridges than for any other reason alone.

I think you missed the point of my post. If the injector setup you have "is enough" YOU DONT NEED A BP. It is a damn waste of enery, effort, money, time and will just make you look foolish driving around town. If you are a young guy and dont care, more power to you. When on the street, especially in CA, how often are you going WOT? Maybe 2% of the time, the other 98% of the time you will have nothing but negative side effects to deal with cause of your BP. Trust me, there is NO benefit for YOUR SETUP choosing a BP.

porting is for marginal gains on turbo motors, the correct turbo can do all of the work necessary to get you the proper power band and rev ranges, DJ7 is correct, porting is a placebo.
only with naturally aspirated engines where porting is the only thing you can do to make power is where it becomes more critical.
plenty of people lately have shown that without massive ports that you can still throw down real big numbers.
it is a little ironic that his avatar is a ported iron though... muahahaha.

i specifically went with a bridge port for the sound with a BWs366 turbo. i initially was going to have a 13B PP NA motor because i wanted the sound and the most HP out of NA ports.
although i do agree with making HP with the turbo, i would also say that doing it with porting can make things simpler. As you can make 500fwhp with a BP and a GT4094R at only 14psi. to make that power with standard ports you would need more boost, which means more heat, possibly better ignition, and AI.
It is personal preference, my next engine combo will either be 13B PP GT42R, just mainly for the noise and lots of power at lower boost levels, or standard ports with lots of boost and WI.
saying all this though, when it comes down to where HP counts to go faster im sure the guys at PAC performance arent using standard ports down the 1/4

Karack I think you know where im coming from. I used to be one of those noobs at sevenstock that drooled over the sound of a BP FD pulling in and I eventually wanted to to have the same thing. And DJ, i appreciate the advice but one thing you should know is I dont care about gas mileage, I love the sound, and I want to make subi and mustang owners at car meets to shake at the knees haha. Yes Im doing this mainly for performance but also for the sound, rotories are famous for the BRAP right?! Im young and i dont care. I know a streetport can yield high power but a STREETPORT DOESNT BRAP!!!

I miss driving around in a PP back in the day delivering pizzas. There is just something about the way that thing sounds at a light. My FD is not a daily driver, and I can't stop thinking about doing a half bridge. The FD is stupid strong (to me) with the old school T04R and a street port, but I wanna hear "brap brap brap."
I've only been doing this since the mid '90s so some of you old timers know better than I.

Update!!!!
Its been months since I last started this thread, and when I did I had just dropped off a motor to Lucky 7 racing and then took off for a 7 month deployment to Spain. In the meantime, Tony at Lucky 7 was building my single turbo BP motor for me. I just got back a few weeks ago and recently picked the motor up from him...and here it is
-Bridgeported
-3MM Super Seals
-Balanced
-Side Clearanced Rotors
-Studded and pinned
-Oil pan brace
The turbo is a CT4 6767 .96 A/R from Comp Turbo, triple ball bearing, billet aluminum, 3" V Band. The manifold is the HKS cast manifold with a 50MM Synapse wastegate.
Now, Ive been trying to research different BP setups that other people are using but I havent had much luck finding an FD BP setup (maybe I didnt look very hard). Anyways, I was just wondering if you guys could tell me if these parts that I plan on getting will be sufficient enough to push this motor over the 500hp mark:
RX7store's Ultimate fuel sytem with 850cc Primaries and 1680cc Secondaries.
Walbro 400lph fuel pump
Haltech PS1000 with the pre terminated harness
LS1 coils or AEM coils
Stock Intake manifold
Vmount IC kit
3" exhaust
Give me your guys' thoughts on this setup and tell me if I need to do something different, ie. bigger fuel injectors.
