What turbo are you running on your bridgeport?
 

Just as the title says. Im getting my engine bridgeported for my 94 by Lucky 7 and just wanted to see what turbo you guys are running with it, fuel systems, ignition systems, ecu etc. I have an Apexi Power FC and RX7stores "Ultimate" fuel kit with 850s and 1680s with a Walbro 255. Im hoping this will be sufficient enough to run my engine but just wanted to see what your guy's setups are.

Fuel pump is limited to about 400rwhp... So To4R/Z with a T4 1.15 @ 12psi or CT4-6767 from comp turbo what you are looking for. I personally run a GT4202 on my own bridge...

What fuel pump should i run?

Bosch 044 or the new aero motive stealth 340 seem to be all the new buzz

Depends how far you are planning to go. Power is addictive thing:) Bosh 044 is probably best electric fuel pump by all measures, very high flow, very small flow drop even at high pressures and small amperage. Only problem is the fact, that its external, gravity fed pump...

76mm Turbonetics with a F65 1.15 AR fully divided manifold,1000cc 1600cc injector combo on dual walbros.

I was just looking at the 340 and i think i might go with that one.

Turblown what kind of horsepower numbers can i expect with the T04Z? And what are you cranking out with the GT42?

don't let the name fool you. the wheel is only 70mm. The large turbine wheel and housing is the big helper in this turbo.

Anyone here drive their bridgeports on the street much?

Nope, I have a full 4" exhaust and with a bridge its super annoying..

Anyone running 850/1680s shouldnt be running a bridgeport. For that matter anyone considering a 67mm is wasting time with a bridge port. Is this a racecar only? If not, just do a nice size street port and leave the exhaust ports alone. You will thank me later, no need to have a car run like shit at idle, be loud and annoying, and just not be fun to drive around town if you are only looking for 550rwhp or less. Really no need for it if you are looking for 700rwhp or less for that matter. But what do I know... :) Good luck in whatever you decide.

I drive mine all over the place!highway at higher rpms and boosting is like heaven,at really low rpms and in stop and go traffic it sucks ass,after 3800rpms and full boost is a monster and it needs some really good driving skills 2 keep it straight.This is on a street car not a drag or weekend warrior with 275/40/17 on the rear.Exhaust is LOUD with a full 3 inch back single exhaust apexi n1 unit.Gas mileage SUCKS in city driving highway is fine.If you want a decent fast car do a streetport if you want a loud hard 2 drive pain in the ass car but faster that almost everything else that you see on the street do a BRIDGEPORT.

I find bridgeports extremely unnessacary. Our shop car makes 964rwhp on a mustang Dyno with a simple street port. No need for a bridge.

Damn dude you are going all out. Have they already started porting your engine? I think you may get alot of unwanted attention around our area with a bridge in an FD.

Haha whats up man!? Yea i left for spain last friday and i dropped off my extra motor at lucky 7 to work on. I dont think ill get much attention considering my car has Ohio plates on it. But yea im going all out.

The guys at Lucky 7 are telling me that my injector sizes are fine for running on my motor. Should I be running bigger injectors?

Yea i was planning on eventualy doing water/meth inj.

It will work, but not that well even on a stock or street ported engine. The PFC doesn't allow full control of any primaries bigger then 550cc at low injection timing( IE idle/low speeds).

If you are going to change injectors, move back to stock primaries, and get ID2000 secondaries.

one of my customers has but about 50k miles on his car with a full bridge, it's definitely a gas hog but he doesn't care.

I think you missed the point of my post. :nod: If the injector setup you have "is enough" YOU DONT NEED A BP. It is a damn waste of enery, effort, money, time and will just make you look foolish driving around town. If you are a young guy and dont care, more power to you. When on the street, especially in CA, how often are you going WOT? Maybe 2% of the time, the other 98% of the time you will have nothing but negative side effects to deal with cause of your BP. Trust me, there is NO benefit for YOUR SETUP choosing a BP.
