Get 1.15 rear minimum...

I have seen 300rwkw (dynodynamics) with this setup on C16 and 21psi.

Steve - it's on a RB26DETT in his GTR Skyline... not on a rotary.

umm yeah , there is method in my madness though , there are very few forums around with as much knowledge as this one , try asking the same thing on a skyline forum and you will get an answer like " it will make more power if you have a power FC " . Steve if you have seen 300kw on a Dynodynamics then I am on the right track , thanks. oh and Shane we have to catch up re wideband A/F meters , have I got a deal for you.
Brenhan.

I'm in the process of swapping my .96 undivided housing out for something of the divided nature. I was HIGHLY considering the 1.15, but I need to know when that one reaches max boost in the RPM range. I have an engine that I don't want to take over 8000, 8500 at the max... will this housing be ok for me?

Thanks,
Nick

Hell yeah, i ran a 1.32 on my 88 motor, redline of 8k at that point in time. With a divided manifold, the 1.15 is a perfect housing for rx7 with full boost at 4k or 4200. Then hold on after that

Depending on alot of other things, a 1.15 rear should come on between 3500 and 4500 but 4500 is worst case scenario.

I have the 60-1 compressor wheel with a .70 A/r on the intake. P trim exhaust wheel. Any clue where my turbo is going to drop off in the RPM range? I haven't noticed it dropping off at all with the .96, so I'm assuming that it is higher than 8000.

I guess what I'm asking is with my turbo and a 1.15 divided housing, any clue on what the power band is going to be (I'm shooting for 15 psi with up to 17 in scramble boost).

Thanks again for any info...

Kurgan,
That is the exact turbo I am going to put on my FD, but it needs a new exhaust wheel so I am trying to decide what A/R to get. It has a 1.15 divided now, how is the boost response on your .96? Like when do you get 1psi and when is it at full boost, say froma rolling 35mph start in 3rd? Thanx!

When you stomp on it in 3rd, the boost is next to instant... and within a split second or two, you are at full boost. The .96 housing on my turbo is fine, I just want to try something else... I hope I don't regret going to the larger A/R.

Do you want to trade me housings? It has to be for a p-trim exhaust wheel and tangential housing... let me know.

The 1.15 may come on slightly later but there will be a noticable increase in top end pull.

Compressors Mapped

There are some compressor maps with HP and PSI plotted on them here: http://www.se-rx7.com/gallery/maps.html

I'm still learning the math, so please correct if needed. Hope this is helpful (and accurate).
