what intercooler for T-88

I have a Greddy T-88 turbo in a RX-7. What air/air intercooler would be best for this application. I was thinking about the M2 larger intercooler or a Greddy FMIC. The car put down 500whp w/ air/water intercooler; but I do not want to retain this setup. I do not have exsperiance with any of the air/air RX-7 intercooler setups. Please help.

Thanks!

Yup, a Greddy 3 row would work for you...

The 3 row is your best bet, it will come with piping for the GReddy turbo kit so it should be easier to install than the others which would require some custom piping.

You might be able to purchase a used one for pretty cheap. I purchased mine through the rx7store.net Jason can match and beat prices of any place in most cases so I would give him a shout. Tell him Dave sent you!

Why would you want to change from a air/water setup to an air/air setup? I thought a air/water IC setup was more efficient?

Sure it's efficient, but it's also a big pain in the *** if you car is not a drag only vehicle.

We'll have to try and hook up some time. I live about 1 hour from that area. I have a Greddy 3 row with my T-78 and it works great!

The kit on the car is awesome for a land speed vehicle or drag race vehicle. It is a PITA for a daily driver. It is actually an air to freon exchanger. (air/water setup modified) It was over $3500.00 to have it built. It will handel in excess of 1100hp. I will be attempting to sell it with in a week or so at a MAJOR $$$ loss to me. Air temps are 0 degrees Cel. coming out of cold pipe. It uses some of the A/C stuff to make it work. It is a very cool setup for a serious racer. It is a bit of a hassle for a daily driver. But, if you are looking for the ultimate drag racing /land speed setup it is it.

Does the Greddy fit with the twin oil cooler setup (one on each side). I am worried that the intercooler piping might have to go where the oil coolers are.
