What do you guys know about Sunoco Ultra 94

I got my car tuned about a year ago by Steve Kahn. At the time, I was religiously using Sunoco Ultra 94. Being that this fuel is no longer being pumped at my local stations, I've had to resort to using 93 octane. I've heard rumors that 94 octane was already mixed with ethanol before it was taken off the market - is this true?

I'm in the same boat.

jehan, I found a source for c16 in morristown for around 8 bucks a gallon. For an FD that's not daily driven, I think it's fairly cost effective to run a 5 gallon can of c16 in with a tank of 93. PM me if you want more info

No need. Being that I live 5 minutes from Englishtown, I can go in and pump some racefuel if need be. I was asking the question under the premise that I would not be able to obtain anything else but 93 octane. I guess my best bet would be to slap my FJO on and check AFRs and adjust my PFC values accordingly.

Jack,

Lucky me, outside of Englishtown Raceway Park is the Englishtown Airport. It's not that I don't have choices near me for higher quality fuel. My main concern is when I take the car out for long distance driving, where I would need to fill up with fuel that Im not tuned for.

Install a water injection kit, problem solved.

To answer your question about Sunoco fuel, all of there fuel grades are 10% ethanol and have been for years, or atleast all the local Sunoco stations in my area. (central/eastern PA) I too was a religious Sunoco fan until I read a thread on here about the 10% ethanol leaning out the A/F ratio a bit. Since i dont have a stand alone yet, just the Pettit Unlimited, I figure I wouldnt want to run the risk of running to lean up top.

Just add about 2-3% fuel across the board, especially under boost/rpm and check the a/f ratio that results.
