i found one realy cheap but i need the manifold is it worth the time?

 

what are the specs on the t04e?

 

great street turbo, couple guys i knew has that turbo and putting close to 400rwhp. the hks t04e spec is
COMPRESSOR:
-Wheel- 57 Trim - 56.3 Inducer / 75.0 Major
-Housing- 100 Inlet / 60 Outlet - 0.60 A/R
TURBINE:
-Wheel- 62 Trim - 74.1 Major / 58.1 Exducer
-Housing- T04 inlet / Insert type outlet - 0.70 A/R

 

do u know where i might be able to pick up a moanifold and what other mods will i need

 

hks sell them and xs engineering have them as well. you need a downpipe, wastegate, oil feed line, inlet filter that's about it.

 

this turbo wont need a street port correct

 

i paid 500 for the lines turbo and wastegate. what do the manifold and filter usaly run

 

find a used one for about 300 bucks? new they are about 700.

 

Are you sure that is correct on the exhaust A/R? My documents I got with the kit list it as .84 A/R, it is also stamped .84 on the housing.. .70 seems real small to me.

Those specs are just copied from the HKS website right? If so that is just their general application TO4E you can buy separately, the one in the FD3S kit comes with a .84A/R exhaust. 400RWHP just wouldn't be possible on a .70A/R

 

That is a score if you got it for that much, the manifold is about $600-700 new like listed above. I am just using a K&N filter for my kit (HKS foam sucks), the filter cost me $35 from Martelbros.com. You would also need to get a downpipe made and then you are almost there, just bolt it all together.

sure it's possible. carcarzy made 400rwrhp with the same exacty turbo. try to look him up. he is a user on this forum.

 

Um, he didn't say it was a HKS t04e. T04e come in all different configurations... still need to know what THAT turbos specs are...

i have not recieved the turbo yet to know the make so i will let you know but i went ahead with the purchase
