I'de be very interested in knowing what other people think about these two turbo's. I just ordered a GT35/40 kit.

I'm not sure if anyone has enough experience with the GT35/40 to do a real life comparison ... I hope to be a ground breaker...and post some dyno sheets...

GT66 will mierda on the GT3540. Contact me for info. greg@fcpower.com Pricing is high but well worth the money. i just ordered a few gt60-1s for a few guys and I think thats a more comparable turbo. The real question should be "GT60-1DBB vs GT3540"

The GT66 is a larger turbo than the GT35/40 spooling will not be as good but the damn thing kicks ***. Imagine a Greddy T78 with DualBB and there is your GT66 with possilby a little more kick ***.

The manifolds are not expensive... its the turbo that costs and arm and a leg, which is why nobody is going to offer this in kit form. Nobody would buy it!

Yes, you can blow on the GT35/40 compressor wheel and it'll spin. You have to position the turbo so the the wheels are perpendicular to the ground.

If you do a search, you can find rpm and boost levels.
I saw about full boost around mid 3krpm's (boost controller turned off => 10psi). I believe I can hit 15psi before 3800rpm. My engine is a stock port engine (for now ). I also have a pretty inefficient manifold I hacked up. So I imagine the A-spec kits are spooling a bit faster than mine. Turbo response is incredible and the lag is minimal for a powerful single turbo.

a gt35/40 will woop a t-66 *** on the street.. but if you have a gt35/40 at the track and you race somebody with a t-66 running 25 psi with race gas ,be ready for them to hand you your back side and wait for you at the finish line!!!

That's flywheel Hp on a piston engine. Not RWHP on a rotary.
