wastegate vacuum lines question

Sup all,
I have an Apex racing wastegate and was wondering about the nipple fitting on the top of the unit. Does this have to be capped or routed to another vacuum line? I have the bottom fitting hooked up right now. Any input wolud be apppreciated.

thanks
Kelvin

I guess I should have been more specific. Not the large nut and bolt on the top of the unit but rather the small fitting thats slightly offset from center.

You should not cap it right at the wastegate. Leaving it open is fine.

It is there so you can apply pressure to hold the wastegate closed.
