Use Resonated Midpipe

Any of you Single Turbo owners use the resonated midpipe from the RX-7Store?

How did you like it? Did you have a straight midpipe before? How's the sound? Loudness? Quality?

I am asking because I plan to buy it and have not heard from the store since they close on Sat & Sun. Answers to these questions are very apreciated.

I just bolted one of these on so I'll chime in. I was running a midpipe and R&B duals and it was a tad loud in the cabin. It tended to drone/resonate and wasn't fun for the [almost] wife.

When I first fired it up with the muffler in there it was as quiet as the stock cat.. no kidding! I blasted around the neighborhood and it loosened up a bit but it is very civilized. Now I can hear the turbo spool.. right up until the wastage opens. More importantly I feel I can drive at speed next to a cop and he'd be none the wiser.

One ceramic coated (black) stainless midpipe for sale!

Did it rob you of any power that you noticed?

Great info, Jesuscookies! I want my power with some dB comfort, too. And getting popped by the po-po for a loud exhaust is no fun at all.

Good info, thanks for taking the time to do that
That is exactly what I wanted to know, those are great numbers definitely worth doing if you cant handle the sound.

No Prob. I figured it would help. Before I got my resonated MP, I read every post I could find on exhaust. One post would say that an exhaust was quiet, while another would say that the same exhaust was too loud. So, it was all relatively subjective, and not too helpful.

Max,

This really does increase the creature comfort level. I can actually hear my stereo

Also, since you live in the same **** hole CARB **** state, this setup is a good compromise. Very quiet at idle, and in low boost situations. However, it absouletly screams (as it should ) in the higher RPM band.
