turbo question

im new in the turbo gig and i was looking at my stock S4 turbo while my car was idling and it barelly moved. it wasnt spinning but i get boost while driving. is that good or not?

That is normal. You really only get boost when the engine is "under load" (i.e. moving, being driven).

No, that's not good. The turbo should spin quite nicely even at idle. With the car shut off, is it easy to spin with your fingers? My S5 turbo spins at idle. Your bearings may be going bad.

yeah i can spin it with my fingers but in idle doesnt spin, plus im only getting 6 psi. i notice too that it smokes from the exhaust but it doenst doit all the time
