turbo oil seals bad?

Awhile back when i finished my single conv. on my FD when i first started it up there was oil arround the turbo inlet where the filter goes on. So i turned it off and wiped it and started it again and theres more oil on there and the turbo is brand new. What could be the problem would i need a rebuild?

Some people experience this problem over extended idling on a new turbo. You need to not let the car idle as much if at all. Drive the car till its to operating temperature (if it's cold) then put some boost through it to help the bearings seat. It might take a day or two but it should seal up and stop leaking if the CHRA isn't defective. Don't worry about it as it's a common problem and I've dealt with it myself.
