Ive got a holset HX55 turbo that has a .92 front compressor housing and a 1.32 rear exhaust housing witch is going on a bridge ported 13b.
Now with regard to rear turbo housings i understand that the 1.32 rear will make the turbo lagy so i can get hold of a 1.00 rear housing can any body see any problems running the 1.00 rear housing with a .92 front housing.

Front housing really has almost no effect on anything. You will be more than fine.

 

Who told you it was a .92 A/R ? I thought all Holsets were rated in cm^2 .

 

the housing sizes can be converted from cm into ar i have a list here some where ill post it up when i find it.

 

The only thing I've read about compressor A/Rs is that smaller A/Rs are used to optimize low boost applications and larger A/Rs are used for high boost applications from the Garret catalog.

 

see if you can get the specs in terms of cm^2
