Turbo help or ? Turbonetics 62-1?
Just wondering on this turbo - Turbonetics 62-1 Turbo T4 .70 A/R Exhaust housing P-Trim? Its going on my 87 turbo 2 with haltech and other supporting mods just wondering how much boost I can run and how much horsepower? As a daily driver and track time? Is this turbo recommended for this car? If not what other turbos do you recommend please let me know before buying? And also how much would you pay for one of these?

Turbine a/r is too small to be matched to that compressor. However its easy to swap housings. You can run 20+psi on it efficiently, however it will do over 2 bar. Turbonetics turbos are generally overpriced compared to Garrett units, I think those retail for $1600 in the BB version...

I'v seen people with that compressor wheel reach your goals...all day long. However they were sporting a .96 to a 1.15 A/R on P-trim turbines. Hope that helps.

It's at the upper limits if you're trying to hit 450 at the wheels with a 62-1.
I don't think it'll hit it with pump gas.
That's almost always race gas territory.

Will work for horsepower
I run the turbo your talking about and at 20 lbs on pump but im 8.5 to 1 comp. It makes about 460 whp.. I say about becouse dynos vary quite a lot. But on a dyno pac it made 420 whp at 16 lbs. Go with the .96 ar full spool ported at about 3800 rpms. I run 10.80's at 2740 lbs 1/4 mile!

the compressor is good for that range, but the hotside he listed is quite small, his is apt to end up with elevated egt's and some serious preturbine back pressure, which will limit him in a lot of ways.

just re-read the op post and realized that he probably mistook the compressor a/r when he said .70 ........
