ok i'm lost... are you running the turbo yet? did you boost prep the carb??? take a picture of your setup for me and i will try to help. or hell, just send me the carb and i'll set it up for you and you can just throw it on there and be done.
yah sorry about that im tired and didnt explane myself. no i didnt put the turbo on yet ,but what i was trying to say was i tryed to put a high flow c hrome filter on and the hoses that run to the original filter were just laying there and not connected to the filter and the car ran like crap. i was just wondering if that going to haned when i turbo it b/c theres no spot for it
that's probably because you just created several tiny vacuum leaks and disabled the secondaries to boot.
on the turbo issue ...
you're not going to be able to just slap a turbo on and go peelin' tires down the road. you're going to have to prep the carb, get a hat, have piping made for intercooling and a host of other things.
do some homework.

for the vacuum leaks, you have to plug them. get a workshop manual of some sort and look at the schematic or see if you can find a local rotorhead and see if they'll help (and teach) you for beer. if i was closer to you, i'd do it for a bottle of SoCo, but ...
anyway, for the turbo issue ... you haven't mentioned any reasons that you'd have issues idling once you have a turbo - provided no vacuum leaks.
now ... the hard part ... how to say this in a nice way? get the turbo out of your head for now. spend some time browsing, reading and getting yourself familiar with the car and how it works. at this point you're just setting yourself up for needless expenses and frustration. i'll be the first to help when you're ready.
