Turbo 12a

Hey ive been reading around the forums...and im seeing that a lot of peeps prefer to go FI when they turbo.....i dont want to go that route and im thinking of staying with carb....tell me if u think this setup sounds good...and if ill be able to thit my estimated 275hp....

Holley 550cfm carb
Garret t04b
FMIC
Completely rebuilt 12a all new seals and streetported
ACT clutch
MSD ignition
Nology spark wires
complete 3" exhaust
Tial 38mm wastegate

if u have any opinions on my setup plz advise me....im not really knew to turbo's but when it comes to turboing a car thats not made stock turbo'd i seem a little lost....thanks...parker

Should easily hit at least 300. Instead of the T04b you could go with a TII turbo with a hybrid 60-1 compressor and a ported wastegate. It would end up costing about the same, sice the turbo will be cheaper and you don't need to buy a wastegate. The hybrid turbo I've heard is good for 11/12's on a 12a.

ya i already have the turbo and everything...right now im just waiting for some income to get the streetport.....if i stay carb'd im thinking of going with the holley 575cfm b/c i cant seem to find the old 550cfm any longer.....thanks for the reply...parker

If your just trying to keep the cost down, try going for a used fuel only computer like a microtech d5. I have this in my fc which means i use a 12a turbo dizzy this works very very well and easy to tune.
