I have a 1.06 on stock ports and it builds boost instantly. I get 10psi at 2800rpm and about 14 at 3500. thats with a 7psi spring. Iam putting in a 14psi spring this week and will see what happens.

Up on top is kinda vaig. Is that refering to 20lbs, 30lbs or what? I'm sure there are other people as myself that don't care about numbers above 15lbs because we want streetable/realistic cars. If there's no sacrifice on the top end at 15lbs then the .82 sounds better then the 1.06. If there is the what is the sacrafice? ...hp dies off at a lower rpm? ...lower redline? ...less hp at the same rpm? what's the top end loss?

You're asking too many questions.
The answer is that there are too many variables that help / hurt boost response.

turbo exhaust manifold design
fuel type
wastegate
ignition timing
porting

Those and many others affect boost response, and there is not way we can give you a generic "oh, you'll get max boost at xxxxRPM" answer that will be right.

The 1.06 A/R should be perfect for most applications, and it doesn't hurt your top end response.
If you're worried about low-end response and you're WILLING to sacrifice top-end, go with the smaller 0.82...

Sean, i asked in another thread, but you may not have seen it. Could you please PM me prices on the different T4 turbine housings? I'm interested in testing with 2 different sizes.

Are they a straight swap for the original 1.06 T3 housing?

When all of you talk about top end loss on the .82 A/R hotside vs. the 1.06, how much loss and how high up in the rpm range would you actually see it? I'm running a very lightly streetported 13B-RE and I will be using normal pump gas and one of A-spec's manifolds. Also, I'll be using a Tial 46mm wastegate with 10psi spring. That should take care of all of the variables. Keep in mind that this is going to be a drift car so midrange is a major concern to me. I don't care about huge dyno numbers.

Those numbers would be with the T3. I haven't sold any T4's yet they wont be ready for sale for about another week. Still finishing the manifold.
