Too all running GT35R
I am curious to see how many people are running the .82AR and the 1.06 AR. Is the new .84AR (t4) that much different in size than the .82 (T3)? Also when do you see boost start to rise, full boost, and what is your max boost/power?

GT35R with 1.06AR hot side.
Stock intake ports, lightly ported exhaust. Tial 46mm WG with 10lb spring, a higher spring pressure does help increase boost responce. When running 15psi boost; I have 7psi at 2800rpm, 12psi at 3200rpm, 14psi by 3600rpm, and hit 15psi by 5200 rpm. If only these were around back in 1992, Mazda could have had a faster car with less maintenance problems and we might have had FDs in the states through 2000. This was done in 4th gear. Just finished AFR and basic timing tuning, have not dynoed yet. |
Thats exactly what I am looking for, thanks for the post!

Ask hIGGI about his 1.06 GT35R - he's not complaining. :)

exactly, who races out of boost anyways hehe

Anyone else want to share there data with us? |
I am still working the bugs out and will be changing the wastegate spring…..attached is a 3rd gear wot run, boost is recorded by datalogit…the units are kg/cm^2 times 100 ….the PFC records slightly lower than most gauges with 70 being approximately 10 psi

i think you mean the new a-spec T4 which comes in i think 1.06 and 1.15 The .82 T4 has been out for some time and is a normal garrett catalog turbine housing |

Although late to chime in. I was running A-Spec's old style kit with relatively large porting and the turbosmart WG. I had 7psi almost instantly and had 15psi by 3500 RPM.

I know there are many people out there running the GT35R, please post some data.... |

I had the 1.06 with an aggressive street port. It spooled plenty fast and made good power. I put down 430 at 16 psi and 470 at 20. Anyone that thinks the 1.06 is too lagy needs to learn to drive.
|
I agree! The 1.06 is in no way laggy. The power just seems to come on instantly.

Anyone else want to share there data with us? Yep! Everyone here knows that a rotary in general won't have much power down low however, the stock sequentials do a great job in making the car every drivable in the low range(especially when compared to a single). I was just checking the drivability in the low range(3k and below) as this is usually the range I dailey drive my 7 why crusing around town. |
If your looking for good power in that range you could step down to the standard .82 T3 it pretty much feels supercharged. But you will be hurting on the top end.

I will get a price together for you

What kind of difference are we looking at with the .82 t3 and .84 t4?
I guess most or maybe even all are running atleast the 1.06, and my assumption is that the .82/.84 would spool even faste, more like the stocks, but what kind of topend power difference are we looking at? |
Is the difference between a GT35R, GT40R and the GT42R the size of the compressor housing? It appears that a different hotside can be chosen for any of the applications, but I've always wondered what the differences are.
|
The differences between the three are the same as would be with just about any manufacturers turbos. They have different compressor wheels and turbine wheels as well as housings.
