TO4Z who is running one?
TO4Z as run by lots of RX7 13B track cars in Japan, making 680+bhp (real engine power) how many people here are running them???
PT67 are the same knock off as this unit (latest tech wheels), so any of you running this type of turbo instead (rated at 780bhp *pist on power* on their site).

I know those are getting big over by you guys. Recently it seems a awful lot of shops are moving to sell them down there. I actually have two cars here sitting with something pretty close to the same thing here. I just haven't released it yet, want to see how it performs first. Basically all a TO4Z is, is a BB TO4R. Same exact wheels, different sized housings. The biggest gain it has over the TO4R is that the slightly quicker response offers a better overall power delivery. Easier to find down by you. The PT67's are getting good power here but you know that already.

There are a few folks with the T04Z, but not as many that I know of, just because the HKS kit is way overpriced.

The TO4Z I have came from Japan Garrett and it def has much different exhaust wheel to the TO4R from the ones I have seen. I found some info on it will try and dig it up for you.
Its meant to spool alot quicker while flowign the same ........

It's basically a GT-4067.
It's got the 67mm compressor wheel and the 10-blade GT-Q turbine wheel.
The T04R also had a 67mm compressor wheel but used an old school 11-blade P-trim turbine wheel.

The Jap Garrett TO4Z I have has a 11 blade turbine wheel of totaly different profiles to a *normal P trim* as in TO4R and TO4S
The wheels are not back cut or swept but the angle of attack is far more kealed back so much so that you dont see the back of the turbo heat shield when you look at it dead on, very different to a typical P trim wheel, different material too (looks similar to all GT turbines I have seen by finish). *Its meant to be a very high performance turbine, much more so than early variations....... better flow rates without associated lag and loss of efficiency = more power for given conditions*
The fit to tubine housing is very tight, much tighter than early style turbo's and the turbine housing is excellent, looks like it was designed with flow in mind (1.15 a/r divided)
Hope that gives you some more info I will put up part number tonight.

I have some published data on it from testing HKS did. If I can find the document and get it posted I will. But wheels are the same size as the TO4R, turbine A/r's are different sizes and the compressor cover has slightly different profile. It performed slightly better than the TO4R but not by much. Just offered better response basically.

Like stated its a OEM Garrett turbo not a HKS derivative...
We got some cars here running 450rwkw (600rwhp or 780bhp) on our dyno's that read lot lower than dynojets....... Garrett rate it for 800bhp. Few track cars (13B FD's) I know of in Japan run 680bhp engines running this exact same turbo specification.

Nup looks nothing like above photo. ^ that turbo above is a XTR gcg turbo, absolute piece of **** made by Australian Garrett reseller who uses dodgy wheels, housings and anything else they can skimp on to save a dollar or two ! while charging you FULL RETAIL PRICE !
It (OEM Garrett TO4Z) has different exhaust housing, turbine wheel, factory welded in Vband sleeve & clamp, cast iron backing plate (not alloy as in GT35R), comp wheel has aero nut, Though same 0.7 comp cover.... Exhaust housing is best Garrett one I have seen to date, real nice flow path.

Looks nothing like these 2 turbine wheel from Kabooski's thread (PT67's) *the top one is like normal old P trim, the bottom one like late modle GT rear wheel (10 blade), mine is a 11 blade as described.
Is much fuller (more rotational angle on blades with NO back sweep to front edge), same number of baldes though, def a latter specification GT styled thinking rear wheel if you know what I mean
Mine is like a modern P trim, flows like a Q but has better spool than an old P with much higher efficiency as well = more power.

Here I thought you were looking for info on the HKS unit, my fault. I do know there is slight differences between Garretts unit and HKS's unit. The wheels are different as is the housings, etc. I haven't been that inclined to rush off and go get one for here.

I'm running a T04Z on a FD with a mild street port. I have the 1.00a/r housing running 14psi boost. The small housing is very good for response but we tried a 1.30 housing on the same car and picked up a lot of power with only a very slight drop off in spool.
