Why don't you post some more info on the conditions?

From my calculations, if you are making peak power around 8500 rpms, you'd need around 110.35% volumetric efficiency at power peak, or about 106.4 % @ 8800 (which is far more realistic for a torque curve). This given 85% ic eff, 19 dec C ambient, 72% comp eff.

You sure you didn't slip some ice on the intercooler? j/k

Full bridge is crazy as for as efficiency. I'd just like to know more about the setup.

I thought it was pretty much universally agreed that FC coils are surerior to FD coils in high HP applications?
Everyone I knoe making 500+ HP is running FC coils or aftermarket (MSD Blaster). NOBODY uses FD coils as an upgrade..?

am I way off here? or do the Japanese tuners know something we dont??

Why pay that amount of money for a T04R when you can get from a T66 to a T72 turbo for much less
Hey Greg,

Where can I get info for all of the T-04 turbine's out there...I mean t-04S/R/E/B...?

The To4R may cost a bit more, but at least you can overhaul it for cheap and you can get parts for it much easier..

and Greg, I too would love to see some of those magic turbo dyno sheets... I guess Soul must have diped his car in goats blood and have a pentagram hanging from his rearview mirror...

It's a known fact that shops over here will adjust things on the Dyno to make the HP they want you to see.. especially on cars that they tune.. It makes the customer happy so they'll spend more $$..

But if a T-66 is a turbonetics turbine, why can't I oerhaul it for cheap? I'd just have to buy the overhaul kit for about $120 and possibly thrust colar too right?

lol...For some of you who don't know Chris in person, he's a cheap ******. That's why he can "afford" the car he has. He's the type to go to a birthday party because there is going to be free food...but he's also the type to help you out when you need to do an engine swap...but then again he's also the type to ASK you to help him

I don't see where you guys get off. There are three fc's and two fd's here that all put out over 600hp with different turbo setups. Soul isn't just some customer, he is a shop car, so why would we make up fake dyno slips for ourself? Or maybe we just want to spend more of our own money?

Don't argue, just post a dyno sheet.

Man, I think you've got your belt on too tight...loosen it up so you can get some blood back into your brain. Making claims like wanka wankel and you're bound to get the BS flag pulled on you. We just want to see some dynosheets...

Shop cars are the worst.. look at Scoot, they claimed 800hp on there T51R car forever, then if I remember right when Option did a Indipendant Dyno Battle for the magazine with about dozen or so FC's and FD's they only got about 575 at the wheels and that was at some thing like 1.8kgcm (26.5 psi) boost... Shop cars sell parts to customers and when they can claim magic HP #'s customers will spend $...

Also FD coils do suck

hmmm, does anyone on here talk to Alf?
i want to hear his opinion on all this.

i find it strange that he started like 3 diffrent threads about the full bridge motor blowing. he asked all kinds of questions about ignition upgrades, and seemed to be very confused as to what caused the motor to blow.

in ALL of those threads, and with ALL of the questions about the full bridge that followed, Alf NEVER mentioned a single HP # for that motor.
as a matter of fact, he made it seem like the motor blew on the dyno before they could get any meaningful results...

I've never known soul to be shy or bashfull about hp#, and i cant see ANY reason that he would 'forget' to post about a 620 RWHP dyno pull. ESPECIALLY if that power was made at less than full boost.....

i'm too lazy to search for the threads, but i knkow he posted about the full bridge blowing up in the 2nd gen section, performance section, and i think the ecu section. i dont remember him posting hp #'s in any of them

Well I have problems with some of the oter claims as well. I've never seen a dyno sheet on his car posted. Yet he has the ability to posts mpg's and pic's of his dyno run's and street racing all over the place, so it shouldn't be too hard to drop a simple pic of the dyno sheet on here, but for some reason one has never been posted... Hmmmmm, Makes me wonder why....? I for one can't wait for his car to get back to the states. I'd love to see how his car matches up to some of the Rotary cars waiting for him... This is if his car is imported correctly with all the right paper work and not seized and crushed by the customs inspectors at the port...

Most of us live in Okinawa, he was in mainland Japan

Think of it like this Alf lives in California and I live in Hawii...

Customs has seized and crushed several cars that have been shipped by people shipping them back to the states.. Those customs inspectars are some picky *** bastards... Infact part of the Bond $ you have to pay the registerd importer is to pay for distruction of the vehicle should in not be able to pass US Inspection... I've also heard of one car being dumped in the ocean while being unloaded as well and when I shipped my car from the US to Germany about 10 years ago It came in to port with a nice thick coat of salt on it (hmmm my car was black when I shipped it) and about 10 new scratches and 2 new dings...
