Question TO4b for tii?

I'm picking up a 90' TII with a blown motor and turbo. So I need to pick up a turbo as I'm going to have the motor rebuilt. I found this one http://www.fcstore.com/inc/pdetail?v=1&pid=1094
And was wondering how it would do on the car? I know I need the manifold for it but what else? I plan on using a NPR intercooler, and doing fuel upgrades to handle more boost. I don't know a ton about turbos, so I'm really wondering if I need an external wastegate or not.

Thanks for the info! Is there any turbo that would be any better that is similar in price or is this my best bet vs a stock turbo?

That A/R is huge!!! I would recommend going a little smaller on the exhaust side. I have a 60-1 on my 2nd gen with a .84 that spools very nice and has plenty of top end. i went 13.0 at 109 at 9psi of boost.

I forgot to mention I'm having a large streetport done when the motor is rebuilt, if that makes a diff.

IF that's a 60-1, then the compressor map they show is wrong...

That turbo is NOT a 60-1. Its actually pretty small and not good for much more then 330-365 whp. Also 1.15 is not that huge of a turbine housing A/R. 1.00 is spot on and .84 is a little on the smaller side, especially for a larger street port. Want a 60-1 for a great price (no one can touch my price) send me a PM, I'm about to place an order with my turbo supplier for a few turbos.
