to4/e specs need help
i have a 13b ser4
turbo is a to4e 58mm front wheel
.70 comp cover
1.00ar exhaust housing
bolt down thrust
im running about 13psi and was wondering whether this turbo will be efficient at say 18-20psi and what sort of power should i expect?
also is this what they call a 60-1?
hopefully someone on here has had experience with this turbo or knows how to read the flowchart..any help would be greatly appreciated.

The 60-1 is a different compressor...your 58mm wheel (probably the inducer size) makes it the T04E "60" trim. 2.290" inducer/ 2.950" exducer. Compared to 2.324"/ 3.000" for the 60-1.
Still a good turbo capable of 400whp, probably around 17 psi.

T04E can do 500hp at around 27psi, if you can get the turbo to boost that high.

I believe it's all in matching the turbine side to the engine. If the hotside is sufficient, then boost should not drop off no matter how small a turbo you use (you will just have a very flat power curve, and maybe even have power drop off as rpm's rise).

fart on a friends head!!!
i dont know what the xs to4e kit's specs are, but i tried to hit 400rwhp with mine and it just plain sucked. we went from 10 psi to 14 psi and it only moved like 10 or so rwhp. i figured there wasnt much left in the turbo so i had to stop the tuning at 347rwhp.
like i said, though. . . i dont know what the specs are for their to4e.
i HAVE upgraded to a 60-1 since then and am anticipating my 400rwhp goals.

I rebuilt an fd engine a few months ago with a t04e with .81 a/r large street port & large exhaust ports. The customer got it mapped on the dyno the other day and got 358 rwhp 428 fwhp at 1 bar of boost. Could turn the boost up any higher as inj duty cycle was about 97%. By the look of the dyno graph it looks like it still wants to make more power.
This was done on a dyno dynamics dynamometer.
