Question Tial SS Housing

Hello all I am looking at replacing my 1.28 a/r T4 housing on my GT45R with a new SS Tial one, I am trying to decide between the 1.0 and the 1.15 what do you think ? its a semi pp 13B motor meant for more street than strip.I am leaning towards the larger one!

Nobody have experience with this turbo and housings ? I guess I'll be the first then! I think I will choose the larger 1.16 over the 1.0 to maintain the higher flow and less back pressure. The turbo spooled great with the 1.28 T4 on it now , so I expect it to improve a lot while maintain similar or better flow ,............. let ya know how it turns out.

We can get all the sizes, but it depends on your time frame. I was letting you know what we have sitting here that could ship out right now immediately. Now I see you are taling about wanting something in April, we can get you any size and hold it until you are in the US. We have the MVR WG also.

Marcel, I did a little looking for you this morning and I am not sure that the 1.16 or 1.30 have been released yet for the GT45. I have part numbers for all of them but Tial will need to verify that they are actually producing them.

Just went on there site ... looks like they finally made the 1.16 and 1.30 in to production. Nice I'm sure looking to pick up a 1.30 for my gt45. But looks like they out of stock right now .
If anyone has the 1.30 A/R in stock do let me know.

Thanks

Last I checked the 1.16 and 1.30 had not been released yet. That was a couple of weeks ago.

The GT42 housings are available, the GT45 are also released but the 1.30 for both are currently "out of stock" at Tial. The 1.16 housings for both turbos are in stock as of 1/17/12

Marcel, if you didn't pick up the 45R from TiAL be sure to let them know, there are two different housings for them and there is a difference in machining from a Garrett 45R and a TiAL 45R. I was the sucker that filled Jake in on this and had to send my housing back.

Adie, there is no 1.06 for the 35R only a 1.03. Also keep in mind these are not T4 framed housings for the 35R. These are T3 volutes though they do flow better than a T3.

I would confirm via email or phone what is in stock, the site is not always accurate and it took them over a year to get some housings back in stock.

Last 45R housing we received took 9 months to get..

Not going to find many people stocking those as the markup on them is peanuts...

Well today was a nice day, i received my SS housing from Tial. Not to shabby 3 month wait.
so GT45r bb 1.30.
Its well worth the money, nice light and much more clearance room than the standard Garrett ex housing
