tial 38mm wastegate

Will the Tial 38 mm wastegate on a turbo with the below specs running 1 bar be good enough?
.84 ar hot side with 2.53" wheel /64.5mm
.7 ar cold side with 2.38" wheel/60.5mm
P-trim

not to jack the thread, but what about with a
60-1/ 1.15 P-trim to4b (the $400 Ebay to4b + a 60-1 compressor)

I was planning on using a 38mm tial. With the larger exhaust wheel, cant I use the smaller wastegate.

it all just depends on how much boost you're planning on running.

You should be able to get away with a smaller wastegate if you're running high levels of boost simply b/c you don't need to bleed off as much exhaust energy.

You're going to need bigger than a 38mm if you are going to run 12-15.

what would you suggest??

I figured the 38 would be big enough.

I know you have a cosmo block that has huge ports, and probably flows like the nile, Im running a stock port 13bt.

If I left the .60 A/R compressor on there Im sure I could live with the 38, but I could probably make only about 300hp, and with the big *** exhaust side, I would make that power really high in the band. right?

Maxthe7man runs a T04E with 1.15 exhaust housing. He uses a 40mm Tial, he can hold 8 psi no problem. I realize the 40mm is not just valve diameter but also overall runner volume, but a 38mm depending on manifold design might work for a smaller To4b turbo.

low boost + big housing + free flowing exhaust + small WG = creep. I have a 46mm tial and have problems keeping the boost from creeping. WG placement in the manifold will play a roll in how effective boost will be controlled though. My engine probably doesn't flow much more than yours if any. My exhaust ports have pretty restrictive looking sleeves in them compared to T2 and FD ones.
