Thinking about going single, a few questions

Long time no see.

I'm considering going single with either a T78 or T88. Anyone familiar with these setups should be able to help. I have been told at 10lbs of boost will reach the same HP as the twins at 14lbs. At what rpm do they respectively hit 10lbs and 20lbs? I looking to achieve around 400-450 RWHP.

I'm pretty sure they hit full boost on single turbo setups at around 3700-4200rpm... I could be wrong... but with a turbo like that... you will get quite a lot of lag...

Responses like this are why I stopped coming to this forum in the first place. If the mods want to move it that just fine. My thought was the intake is 3rd gen specific and could make a difference.

As for lag the twins lag pretty bad by modern standards. I'm really trying to understand the differences between the two (T78 & T88).

If you think lag for the twins is bad, wait until you go single. T78 and the T88 are more drag orienated turbos. Something for good street driving with quick reponse look into the 35R or Aspecs 500R turbo upgrade.

Exactly, don't be so quick to judge. I just know that the moderator would prefer you ask questions in the right place, that way he wouldn't have to move it and waste his time. I told you that, so you can post over there and have more folks who know about single setups answer your questions. I don't like smart asses either, so don't be so quick to judge those who are helping you, whether it's a straight forward answer or not.
