theramal wrap for exhuast housing?

How many of you wrap your exhuast housing with some kinda of thermal wrap?? I here that its bad for the turbo becuase it doesnt let off heat. Im not worried about lag or anything but there is a few things that my exhuast housing is "cooking"; wires, hoses ect... Also whats the best stuff I can put over the wires to keep them insulated?

black99, thanks man. that was alot of help. i guess ill just insulate the wires. I have a wire that comes somewhere over by the abs system that is 3 inches from turbine housing and it goes into the subframe somewhere. Well, that wire is very brittle and crisp. I dont know if there was a current going throught the wire or not. I was just going to do away with it but dont know if it will screw anything up.

I would insulate the wires, make a heat sheild for the turbo, wrap the DP and maybe make a heat sheild for the manifold.

No pics, but I have insulation over my turbine housing. It's a popcorn bag looking thingy. Also have reflective tape on many of the aluminum AC pipes as well as the nearby electrical harnesses. And have heat shield between the dp (ceramic coated and thermal wrapped) and the LIM. Header is ceramic coated as well.
