If you use the TD06 manifold, either weld a T-04 flange or make an adaptor you can fit the T-78 without problem on the TD-06 header.

 

Again, can anyone tell me what the OD of the runners on the T78/88 kits are and what the diameter is on the TD 06 kits? thanx

 

Where is the best place or any place to find a T04 flange to weld on my TD06 manifold? Any one!! I need to get this in my car.

Speed, I will measure the runners on the Td06 manifold I just got. The manifold is much diff. then the pic. in this thread. Hopefully someone can give us a measurement of a T-78 or T-88

 

Depending on what you have, I MAY trade a cast Greddy T04 mani for your TD06 manifold. Let me take some measurements of what I'd need in a TD06 manifold...

(Part would come from the Greddy TD06 kit that has a T04 mani and then an adapter..I can keep the adapter to look at and run the same setup with one less gasket.)

 

2 inch on TD06 and T78 headers, T88 has 2.25" or 2.5"

also, at what boost/hp level will the larger diameter runners make a noticeable diffrence?

sure its nice to have wider runners but ported exhaust sleeves should be considered with it

 

sorry, should have mentioned, motor is street ported, exaust sleves opened up lots

 

T-88 manifold slows exhaust velocity too much, you will have a gigantic increase in lag, not much of a gain in top end.
Bigger runners are usually used for better wastegate control.

 

better wastegate control? couldn't you just use a larger diameter pipe to go to the wastegate, and leave the runners to the turbo a smaller size.
if there is no performance advantage, then why do they use large runners on the T88 and SFP manifolds?

there has got to be a way to get good wastegate control without increasing lag like that...

 

I am obviously new at this. But can you guys help.
My greddy manifold has the following dimensions, I do not know were you guys are measuring from but
My manifold is rectangular and is a Greddy Td06 ?
The dimensions:
OD is 4 3/8ths " by 2 5/8ths "

Id is 2 5/8ths " by 2"

Bolt holes center to center are approx. 3 3/8ths and 1 7/8ths

Can someone help me on this, If I can fit a T-78 on this I would be very happy. If not What is the biggest TD06 Made that will fit ?

I have found a 25 G 17 cm2 and a 25 G 20cm2 but no one knows if they will fit.
