tangental divided... which way does it go?

so i have an obx manifold that i am using on my FD... i am trying to decide what turbo i should use. the obx manifold is fully divided so i am going to get a divided turbine housing, i have heard the biggest turbo that will fit without hitting the uim is a t04s with a .84 hotside. the size of the turbo is fine, but i don't know if that means for an on center turbo or a tangental divided turbo... also, just wondering which side of the flange the turbine sits on a tangental divied turbine.

like if you are looking at your single setup, does your turbine sit on the right (uim) side, or the left (frame rail) side. i figure that if .84 hotside oncenter is the biggest you can fit, than i would be fine with a tangental divided if it sat to the left of the manifold flange...

kinda confusing i know, just trying to figure it out, i can always just send my turbo back to turbonetics or wherever, but they charge a restocking fee, so i just wanna try and figure this stuff out now.

i should have the manifold on, minus the turbo, so then i will have measurements from the center of the flange to the UIM and the Frame rail soon, so hopefully those measurements with your info i can figure this shiat out!...

I think you'll find a .84 divided hotside to be a bit small. Most people run 1.0 at least, even on street rotaries... especially when they are divided. The turbine will sit to the manifold side on a tang divided.

I can't speak to what fits on an FD, someone else will have to answer that.

Run a 1.15 divided with any big turbo. I think there might be more room for a bigger turbo. All of the exhaust housing are the same size. It is the compressor housing that is bigger. If you are getting a deal on a turbo, then buy it. You can always pick up an exhaust housing of your choice later. As a matter of fact, I have one or two for sale!

I know this is off subject... but when you get the OBX manifold on, let me know how the fit is. I have one too and I'm also going with a TO4S as well, haven't decided on the size yet. Thanks.
