Lightbulb T78 with 850's all the way around

Going with a T78 single turbo this winter break. I need your opinion on 850 for primaries and 850 secondaries. What does everyone think of this setup?

your gonna need more fuel

even with 1300s secondaries and 850 primaries you might be pushin your luck, depending on how much boost you plan to run

but for the price of having your secondaries enlarged 140 a pop,

you can get the 2krd rail, 220$ and bosh 1600's are 90 bux a piece...

youll deff have enough fuel then

Exclamation T78 will swallow all that fuel

T78 will swallow all that fuel. Add two more 850cc injectors for good luck or use 1600cc injectors in the secondaries. This will give you enough fuel to satify that Greedy T78.

Why don't you just use the 850's as your primaries?

If you decide on 1600's check out http://www.precisionte.com/buicks/injchips.htm They are the place that sells the 160 lb/hr Bosch injectors for $90.

Keep the 550s as primaries and get 2 x 1650s minimum secondary. With 45-50psi static fuel pressure, that should be enough for 25psi boost.

Bacon,

Where are you getting the rail?

Did you adapt the stock fuel pressure regulator?

I wrote a web-based fuel calculator to help figure out how much HP a particular fuel system setup will support. You can change the BSFC, pressure, injector sizes, etc:

what is the largest injector that ca fit i a non-modded 2nd gen primary rail? I'm about to run the wolf 4.0 an will most likely pickup the $90/ 1600cc injectors for the secondary.

How hard will it be to tune if I use 550s in the primary and 1600 in the secondary? How about 850 in the primary?

Thanks. . .

For those of you plannig on using 850s as primaries beware. Large primaries dont ilde well and foul plugs like mad.

850s can idle perfectly so long as you are using factory 850s. if you use the RC 850's then there might be some missing at idle. In fact, I'm sure there will be. Just use factory secondaries in the primary location and with the proper tuning, the engine will idle like stock.

Is there a how-to or can you give me any ideas on how to properly mount the 850's as primaries? I have read that using two washers helps. I plan on getting my car tuned by XS since I have a PowerFC. Thanx!
