t66 what kinda power?

ok im wondering what kinda power im looking at getting out of a t66 setup? im planing on getting a sr5 block and porting it LARGE street port. i have a standalone (micritech) already. i want a good and safe 300 hp i figure alonge the lines of 1000 or 1200cc primes and 1200-1600 cc 2nds and ill have plenty of fuel to feed the motor. i was planing on getting ato4 but was told id be running it hard to get the 300 i want and was told to get a larger turbo. im not wanting to get a HUGE turbo and start getting lots of lag but i do want to have a turbo im not doging out to get the #'s i want.

Basicly, you are looking at the wrong turbo. A TO4 in almost any rotary sized iteration will make 300-350rwhp easily(.70cover, .96 ptrim on a cast mani). A T66 is a 20-30psi, 450-600rwhp turbo done right.

a large streetport and t66 is overkill for 300hp. you can pretty much double that hp w/ that setup. don't get that turbo and type of porting if you don't want lag.

yea basically wut others have said.. if you have a 66 for 300hp you will have it far out of its range. a to4 would be perfect..

A TO4E would do the job nicely! I'm putting together a T66 setup with a half bp motor and 18-20 psi. I'm expecting right around the 500rwhp mark. So if you're looking for only 300rwhp, a T04E would do the job PERFECTLY. Just my take on things though. Laterz.

dude you can get over 300 rwhp on stock turbos at low boost easily, what would be the point of spending all the money on a single, when you can do it for almost nothing

my apologies i thought you had a 3rd gen for a second, im an idiot.
