T04b / T04e

These turbos pop up from time to time on Ebay at Buy It Now prices of US$300 or below. Claiming to be all new also. Are these suitable for our cars and is anyone on the list running one of these?

The T04e is a better option.

Not really.
If we are talking about Garrett turbos:

If the T04B is a 60-1, then it is larger than even the largest T04E , which is the "60" trim. don't see how you

The 60-1 compressor has a 2.324"/3.000" inducer/exducer, while the largest T04E (60) is 2.290"/2.950".

But yes, both are very suitable for rotories. There are a lot of FC people running these turbo's. Both are capable of 400 whp between 15-18 psi

Any reason why the T04B and T04E are featured less frequently on the FDs than the T78s and T04Rs?

Not as much horsepower. That'd be my guess.
