t62-1 dyno sheet done

Man...going single can be a pain in the neck. But, after so much time down, my car is back for more.

So...here is the most recent sheet. 16psi...pump gas.

412rwhp
330lbs/tq

I may do another dyno pull next weekend...race gas...just to see what she will do. Right now I am not sure if i want to push my luck.

Nice dyno. Now we want some underhood pics.

I know what you mean about it taking a long time and being nice to get your car back.

yeah max...it took almost a year to get it right....how long til you have yours back on the road?

underhood pics will come shortly. It looks pretty good. Steve did a nice job. The water injection install is pretty nice too.

Now its time for paint and interior touchup and rims/tires. It never ends.

Jason, I look forward to the pics. I am getting interested in some water injection, too. Post some pics of your setup if you get a chance.

I got my car back and I am doing the break-in now:

We've got a dyno tuning session scheduled for the end of April out here, so I'll have dynos then if not sooner.

I love the water injection...love it. knock...gone... its like curing some medical ailment...no longer needing the stethascope every time you go out for a run.

nope....as u said...it never ends. under the hood yes...im as happy as i can be...as long as it stays somewhat reliable.

looking at getting it painted asap...need a couple things on the interior and some rewiring on the stereo....rims and tires...thats it.

the rest is new...under the hood there is hardly one thing left that hasnt been changed with new parts. suspension is fixed...new bushings all around...eurothaine motor mounts...new wiring harness...turbo..motor (housings and rotors)....WI, clutch, ignition and coils...god..u name it, its done. That is why it took so long. I did way too many mods too quickly to be honest. We also had to dig out all the problems which were present from so many years of spirited driving. The car feels like when I first got it...everything is tight. no more rattle rattle..no more clunk clunk.

LOL!! I thought I just finished my build (along with 99 rims and Pzero Corsa's), and the idea's don't stop. too much at once??? I built a motor/clutch&FW, made an aircraft harness disconnect at the firewall (out of a Haltech E6X harness), went single (.70; 60-1 (chose that over the 62-1, for spool, not sure it matters now) 1.00; p-trim, WI, all emissions (except ACV)...

and now my tranny is acting up?!?! FAWK...then I look at the oil cooling system...it doesn't end!

AutoX starts here in 12 days...looks like I might have to race the daily beater

congrats on the car sounds like a rocket!!

Even thought the turbo doesn't make as much low-end torque as you were looking for, it has a very smooth spool up and a table-flat curve once there. The powerband is wide and very smooth -- typical of Kan tuning. He really is the man!

Congratulation, Jason. Hopefully the car runs good for a long time.

well i really hope the trade off of full boost early vs single reliability proves true.

It's doing it's best impersonation of your car's former state. It's sitting on jackstands, and will be for a few more months.

It will be sick when done though.

Or turbos even.

I have a t70 sitting on my floor right now. It's too small for my engine in a tradtional mount setup. I bought it to remote mount it, but there are too many compromises with that setup So, right now I'm deciding on a t76, or twin gt35r setup. It's going to depend on how much of our tax return my wife lets me spend.

Other than that, the FMIC is on already, dual intank walbros are sorted out, new fuel lines, new injectors, etc., etc. I just need to build manifolds and decides on my hairdryer(s).

Yeah, I'll throw in some new pistons, and add some new heads to lower the compression to about 8.75:1 For starters I'll just run low boost with a FMIC and some methanol to try to avoid knock.

I have pistons to make an 8.6:1 383 stroker in my closet, but I'm not sure if I'm going to use them or not. They'd push the turbos I have in mind out of their efficiency range, and I'd have to go larger.

Anyhow, I don't want to distract from your thread anymore than I have already. I'm more than happy to shoot the **** through PM if you want.

Artguy, very nice. I'm getting the same turbo but was looking at the .84 Divided exhaust housing. What kind of spool are you getting with your current setup ?
