T60-1 Dyno Results.....???

I just had my FD dynoed yesterday.....and I was not very impressed with the numbers. I am just wanting to know if someone could explain what would cause the car to make such low power for a single turbo car. Just things I might want to check to see where my power may be being robbed/wasted.

Here are the mods:
STOCK MOTOR 52,xxx miles....new one this winter, but for now....
T60-1 BB Turbo Kit
3" DP and MP
M2 Dual Cat-back
RP Competition Fuel Pump
550/1600cc injectors
Apex'i Power FC
Greddy Profec B
Crane Hi-6 Ignition
M2 Large SMIC
Greddy Elbow
Crank Pulley
Pulley Kit (Alt & W/P)
Pop Off Valve
Blow Off Valve

I think that is about it for anything related to horsepower or engine tuning. The car is running 12-13psi. P17-P18 cell for the PFC.

Max Power was 345.1@7000rpm
Max Torque was 279.3@5800rpm

AFR's were 11.2 to 11.8 from 3500rpm up to 7500rpm.....then richening up to 10.5 at 7900rpm.

This exact same setup made(different cat back exhaust):
Max Power was 365.0@7100rpm
Max Torque was 292.7@5700rpm

This was about 2 years ago at 13psi....and I was told it made even more than that on a later pull, but I don't have the dyno graph for that one. But given the same mods what would cause the car to start making less power and less torque?

And both times it was using a Dynojet Dynometer.

-20 hp could be... dirty plugs... misfiring coil... lower compression... incorrect temp correction maps (in other words the temp was different from last time and the corrections are wrong in the ecu)... lots of stuff!

One question I have is... you say you have a 60-1 BB kit... what turbine? what A/R?

Thats really not that bad for an older stock motor. 15-16 psi would get you 380-390, about right for a 60-1 on stock ports.

Yeah, that sounds about right to me? Want more power? Turn the boost up! I am running about he same fuel system on a stock motor and running 20psi (on 110). You say you have a new motor coming so no worries!

I just dynoed my 60-1 setup this past weekend. It made 365 HP and 380 ftlbs of torque at 12-13 PSI. I have the dyno sheet posted in this thread.

The different numbers could simply be attributed to the dyno, the numbers they spit out are subject to all kinds of variables. I've seen similar senario's before.

380 ftlbs is a typo. It should read 280 ftlbs

Oh...ok, I was like WTF?

I am going to pull my plugs tomorrow and replace them and go ahead and run a compression test just in case.

At least I am not the only one with low power....but it sucks that my friends stock turbo, stock motor FD made 5 less rwhp and made 20 more rwtq than me when he got tuned at 15psi. I'm like ****....5rwhp? I would think a 60-1 would flow more at 12psi than the stock twins at 15psi. He has a new reman though in his....where I am still rolling with the old 50k stocker.

The numbers look reasonable.
It might be the corrections factors entered into the DynoJet could jack the numbers down?

Can you give us the A/R turbine wheels size? .96-1.00-1.15, etc. These wheels will run 400-500-plus and large boost.. I have the 1.00

Don't know the A/R.....bought the car with the turbo already on it and a heat shield is covering the turbing housing. The compressor housing is polished smooth....no markings.

It easily could be the variations between two different dyno's. Also, this my sound obvious, but was there a big temperature difference? I.E., was one pull in 40 degree weather and the other in 90 degree weather?

My car was dynoed during 60-70 degree weather.....and last time it was in July of 2002 at KDR. So, I am guessing the temps were around the same if not a little better for my tuning session compared to July weather.
