Angry T6 Flange Guys, what type of gasket are you guys using?

Finished my exhaust finally but I seem to have a leak at the flange. I just used the thin metal flange that Borg Warner supplied. I cranked it down to different torque numbers and it still leaks.

Just curious if there was a better gasket out there before I throw on the silicone

dang nabbit, this thing is still too loud with the exhaust on

You need to surface the flanges flat. The thin steel gasket should work fine.

Yeah, when you weld on them they warp especially with a mig. Any automotive machine shop should be able to do it.

If it's not too bad and you have access to a nice belt sander you could get it done. If it is warped bad you will need to get it machined as stated.

Thanks Sean......... I don't have a belt sander so I'll just have it machined down. I don't hear a exhaust leak, just have fluid dripping out (E85). Running a little rich
