Talking T51rbb

has anyone come up with any info on the T51R

T51R KAI (800ps claimed)
Exhaust Turbine: 94mm
Trim: 56T
A/R: 1
Flange Type: V-Band

T51R SPL (1000ps claimed)
Exhasut Turbine: 102.2mm
Trim: 56T
A/R: 1
Flange Type: V-Band

How would they work with 13bs? [I guess they don't have the split pulse exhaust.] Are they specifically designed for the skyline GTR?

I had the HKS T51R Kai for a couple of months..its not ballbearing but it sure sounds like it when your boosting...The turbo is quite laggy for the street, but once you got it spooled boooyyyy you get going! my car felt like it was about to fly..sort of like the car felt really light and was "gliding" it was a fun turbo but i like to try different setups..the v-band setup was really trick too

i got pics of it at my website http://communities.msn.com/poweraxel

Thanks!
great car poweraxel, now that's a turbine! I thought it would spool up well with the size of the turbine housing?
how was it against the T78?

actually, I think they have brought out a ball bearing version (so i've read anyway)

Most Garrett style turbos use the vband

while most Garrett turbos have a V-band on the "downpipe" flange..the HKS "garrett" T51R-Kai has V-band attachments at:
1. the downpipe
2. the exhaust manifold
3. the GT wastegate
4. wastegate oulet
5. wastegate outlet to downpipe

as you can see HKS really wanted this kit to be unlike all others...you can litterally remove the entire system in less than 30min
