T04r

T04r
I currently have a 13b-Re engine with an aggressive street port , RA superseal 2mm, and I'm looking for a turbo (kit) to attain between 400 and 430 whp on pump gaz. Pump gaz in my area is only 91 octane. I am planning on using AI for my set-up to run safely, but that's not the point... The point is I am searching for a turbo to fit my needs!
It it for a street car that will probably not see any track. I don't really bother with some lag, but would like a progressive spool, not an on/off turbo.
I read the howard Coleman turbo comparison over and over, each time I see a possible deal. There is currently a Rotary Extreme T04R (non-Ball bearing) kit for sale and I am realllly tempted! I know a GT35R would be ideal, but this one seems appealing to me especially considering the price.
Any opinion would be appreciated

T04R's are good, and if it's the cheapest option for you it will definitely do the job. Also remember that the powerband (on/off feeling) will have a lot to do with your porting as well as the turbo selection.
Another turbo to keep in mind is something like the GT3574 (A-Spec) or TD61 (Turblown). It's just a 35R compressor wheel mated to the P-Trim turbine wheel in journal bearing. It should spool a bit faster than the T04R due to the compressor being smaller, and be good for up to ~500whp.

That's what on their website, and I guess that's what the seller is selling...

Those specs are for a p-trim exhaust wheel, which is standard on pretty much any T04R. If it's a good deal, then go for it. If you were to be buying new and taking a pick of any turbo, my suggestion would be one of the two turbos listed in my last post, with the same p-trim wheel, as they will do the job and are fairly affordable. Make sure the turbine housing is not smaller than ~0.84 A/R as a general rule (they advertise 1.00 so should be perfect)

Well I can't tell... But it is advertised as a T04R.
I'll be able to tell you everything about it when I'll receive it... Anyways, it's now on it's way!
If I don't perfectly like it, I guess I'll be able to sell it and buy myself a more appropriate turbo in the future.
