T04r Wet Center??

Hey does anybody know if the HKS T04r comes w/ a wet housing or or dry??

Also how many of you are running a dry center on 400+ horsepower setups?? My problem is i have been waiting a few months on my TO4r with a wet center and was told i could have a dry center sent tomorrow or wait for a wet center. Is it worth the wait or is it pretty common and safe to run a dry center??

I would wait for the wet center ... extra cooling never hurt, especailly if you drive in boost a lot.

It's fine if your oil is cool enough, if you're running stock coolers.. it's going to get hot oil. I got a 34 row oil cooler in mine now.. so it'll drop my temps a bit, but I never had a problem beating the **** out of my TD08 setup and it was oil only. Eh, coolant and water cooling is great and all, but I don't want to fork over that money =P Afraid when/if it breaks I pay big...lol.

Wet centre is the way to go if you can. I'm not sure why your stuck waiting, If you are in a hurry I can have it to you in a few days.

All a matter of opinion, but I can see how a wet center would be a bit more reliable... I'll go eventually when I want to fork over the dough.

I wanted the 500r, but they're not sold alone.

Not sure what you mean by matter of opinion?? It is proven a wet centre will reduce oil coking in the bearings. As well as overall oil temps. I think you may have BB centre and wet centre confused. You can have a wet centre without BB.

Ahh that is it, I was confusing the two.

I was unaware that a wet center was available without BB. =P

I allready purchased the turbo and have been waiting a couple of months to get it. I was told i could have a dry center shipped out to me tomorrow but i would have to wait an extra week for the wet center. With the amount of time it has taken i was temted to just take it. I just said if it was going to take any longer than a week to send me the dry center.

I actually contacted you a while back with a few turbo questions and interest in purchasing but never heard back. You may have just not gotten my pm.

Somedays I get more PMs in a day than I can keep up with at times, sometimes I miss a few, sorry. Don't know who your getting it from, don't want to either. But it is a readily available turbo. You shouldn't be needing to wait for it. Sometimes Garrett gets behind on their GT series stuff, but usually not on thier standard stuff. I wish I would of got your PM. Sorry again. Best of luck.
