Question T04E or gt40

Hi

I was wondering what you guys think about this turbo:

T04E
In: 60mm A/R.50
Ute: 60mm A/R 1.0

I have a big port job done on my engine, and have a Gt40 today, but was wondering what the diffrence would be with the T04e.

Just wondering what u think pro/cons etc...

Thanks

/Rick

The t04e is a relatively smaller turbo when compared to the gt40. The t04e will spool alot quicker than the gt40, especially with the port job but will have no where near the top end of the gt40. I have a t04e with a smaller hot side and i want to upgrade to a bigger turbo for a little more power. Also the decision lies in what your goal is. ie road race, drag car, mountain driver, etc.

The compressor housing on the t04e is too small anyways. A t04e is tiny compared to a gt40. IMO a 60-1, 62-1 would be more comparable to the gt40 power expectation wise, So you'd almost be choking your engine, if the t04e was all you had then it would be somewhat useable, but you have a great turbo for a rotary with a big port job already with the gt40. Keep the gt40. my .02
