t04b v1/v2 dyno runs

i posted these graphs in the FC section as well, but figured i'd post it here so the rest of you could check it out.

16.5psi

this was at 16.5psi, which is a little too much, had to turn it down to right at 15.0 and lean the AFRs out up to the low 11's, which lead to this:

15.0psi

so at 16.5psi it made:
360.0whp @7000rpms
305.wtq @5500rpms

at 15.0psi it made:
359.4whp @7000rpms
297.4wtq @5500rpms

on the 16.5psi graph i only revved to 7000rpms or so, but on the 15.0psi i revved it to 7600 and you can see it running out of compressor. :/ so this is pretty much what a t04b vtrim will do on pumpgas give or take 10whp or so and keeping it safe.

anyways, this is a borg warner t04B v1/v2 compressor, 1.15 a/r ptrim hotside. i got this turbo second hand for 300 shipped and i'd say its doing a fine job for 300 bucks!

the rest of the setup is:
hks log manifold
tial 38mm wastegate
tial BOV
greddy vspec FMIC
haltech e6k
550s/1680s
aeromotive FPR @45psi base pressure
walbro 255 pump

jacob,

thanks for the data. according to the compressor map the V1/V2 can make 50 lbs/minute at 16 psi.

50 lbs/min X 14.471 = 723 cfm/1.92 = 378 MAX rw rotary hp. so you got most of what you could out of the V1V2. there's another 3-4 lbs, or about 25 hp, at 25 psi boost should you wish to reach.

nice job,

howard coleman
