I agree. Don't go so hard on the new guys. Whenever I see a post I think is "dumb" or the guy obviously should have said somethign else, before I get upset at him, I look to see if he's new or not. But if it's someone with 2471 posts and they asks "Where can I buy a 20B, I have $1500 paycheck I want to spend" then I feel it is very appropriate to get mad at them for not searching

Here are the diameters for the T70, T72, T76 and T88 garrett based turbos from turbonetics. The 70, 72, 76 and 88 are based are the size of the compressor inducer in millimeters. The T70 is the closest to the KAI on compressor size and the T76 is pretty close to the SPL. Again this is just compressor size, not an overall closeness (is that a word) in performance.

T70: Inducer 2.720 (69.08mm) Exducer 3.850
T72: Inducer 2.840 (72.12mm) Exducer 4.030
T76: Inducer 3.020 (76.70mm) Exducer 4.030
T88: Inducer 3.460 (87.88mm) Exducer 4.600

Here is the compressor diameter for the HKS T51R KAI and SPL

T51R KAI: Inducer 2.768 (70.30mm) Exducer 3.701
T51R SPL: Inducer 3.012 (76.50mm) Exducer 4.024

Here are the dimensions for the Greddy (Mitsu) T78, T88 33D and T88 34D. The T78 and T88 33D use the same compressor but different turbine wheels and housings.

T78 33D: Inducer 2.598 (65.99mm) Exducer 3.543
T88 33D: Inducer 2.598 (65.99mm) Exducer 3.543
T88 34D: Inducer 2.744 (69.69mm) Exducer 3.740

just because its his first post on here dosent mean its his first time on the internet. i'm sure he's been to other forums before, and can figure out how to use the search function there and here as well

btw, he didn't ask if they were simmilar in size, he asked if they were the same turbo, like just relabeled turbonetics stuff being sold by hks.

So what if he heard that?
At least he is asking to find out if what he heard is true or not, instead of going around spreading the word to all his friends that they are the same.

Yes please, a bit of tolerance and benifit of doubt should go his way for a "new" guy, regardless of how long or where else he may have been.

Hope you got the answers you were after from the guys who responded to your question.

Chill people
