I have an 88 TII with the original factory turbo. Lately my turbo has been sounding very ratty, it's not making that beautiful whistling sing any more, instead it just sounds like my turbo is spinning like crap. Is this a sign that my turbo is about to blow? If so, is there somewhere I can get my turbo repaired? Or how much would a new factory turbo cost? I'm working with a students income here. thanks for the help

umm, the best way to tell is take of intake and TID and check the turbo for play. the turbos wear out. you can either send it out or get a used one to replace it. www.majesticturbo.com is good.
