CA Summer Oil weights.

Whats up guys...just wondering what everyone was running as far as oil weight for the summer heat... I'm getting ready to order oil and a new filter so I thought i might see what everyone was doing first..and if it's safe to run anything other than 20/50.. Thanks!!

ps..it gets HOT out here in the desert.. as in 85-115 degrees F ...last year I got away with only driving at night...but seems i'll be a little more involved in life this summer as far as track days etc..

Definitely run 20w50 in those temps, and personally I recommend a quality synthetic to all of our customers. Idemitsu is my brand of choice, read more here:

Redline and Royal Purple are also good synthetic choices. I currently run Royal Purple.

GTX 20w50 all the way. Change the oil every 2k miles due to fuel dilution, so GTX it is.
