Suggestions on where to buy exhaust flanges

I need to find a decent (but also not overpriced) flange for my exhaust system. 2 bolt, 3 inch pipe size, 1/2 inch thick would be best. Mild steel. Not sure on the bolt spacing - need to go measure that.

Any advice on where to find something that is decent quality but also not really overpriced? To give you an idea, I'm trying to do something like this:

That is a good idea but...

I have a downpipe that is already made and I was using before. So if I do a v-band I will have to cut the end off of that and weld on a v band. Since welders aren't cheap - I think that would probably be more expensive than just putting it back how it was before it broke. I dunno I guess it may come out about the same price. I'll ask whoever does the welding what they would price it to be.

See: https://www.rx7club.com/single-turbo...xable-1041714/

for the gory details of why I am doing this. I think the original part was a slip-fit turbine housing + a V-band adapter welded on + a flange welded on top of that. Kinda a hack, but it did work. (until it broke... so maybe it didn't work?)

I will probably also have a flex-section welded into my downpipe to prevent this from happening again. The first time it lasted something like 12 years, but I would rather not take the chance.

I'm actually not a big fan of v bands except for the ability to rotate. I would consider atp also. It's not cheap, but I hope they get their metal from a good source. Its hard to know until you start welding

Brian,
Inspect the turbine housing well. It would be disappointing to repair the housing if it has more cracks.
Mine had more cracks at the slits at the entrance to the blades ( see attached).
The high EGT's kill these housings in short order.
I went back with a new 1.00 AR housing and a vee band mount .
It is easy to weld another vee flange to the downpipe.

I took a Racing Beat exhaust flange off a REV II Presilencer and it is really thick.
Perhaps you can get one on their website?

Barry, I found a new Garrett (not chinese knock off) housing so I got that and now I'm just rounding up the parts to make it work with my exhaust. Believe me, it was not easy to find this housing.

My turbine housing did have some of the cracking around the exducer area like I think I can see in the pics you linked. I am hoping that I can get all this stuff welded back up and installed and be out on the road again soon!

Brian,
I have been thinking about doing an experiment of re-inducing cooled ERG to reduce EGT's.
This would save the manifolds and turbine housings.
My old HKS cast manifold has cracks that leak only at start-up when cold.
